In 2021 the Porsche Boxster celebrated its 25th anniversary. To mark the milestone, Porsche released a 25th anniversary model of the iconic Boxster.
In September 2021, Shorade began work to restore an original 986 Porsche Boxster for Porsche Cars Great Britain, to form part of the 25th anniversary celebrations.
The 986 Boxster arrived requiring a comprehensive restoration including full stripping, refitting and a full body respray, after being used as a training car for Porsche Cars Great Britain. Designed to match the 25th anniversary edition, after a bare metal restoration, the vehicle was painted arctic silver with neodyme accents.

We could not be more pleased with the finished result, and the quality of the finished product is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team. We thoroughly enjoyed reviving such an iconic Porsche vehicle.”
With the vehicle due to be on exhibition at the The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show from the 12th to the 14th of November, the team had just eight weeks to complete the restoration. A total of 247 hours were spent restoring the vehicle, which was a combination of mechanical, panel and paint work.
