Shorade UK Celebrates Engineering Excellence at the 2026 9WERKS Awards

Date

Members of the Shorade UK team were honoured to join the cream of the UK Porsche enthusiast industry for the 2026 9WERKS Awards on Thursday 23rd April. As a long-standing partner of 9WERKS and a dedicated supporter of the community’s ‘Driven Not Hidden’ mantra, Jon, Kelly and Steve from Shorade were delighted to support the evening in person and celebrate the individuals and businesses pushing the boundaries of the Porsche world.

The event, held at Porsche Centre Bournemouth, brought together the Driven Not Hidden Collective (DNHC) and key figures from the UK Porsche industry including design legend Grant Larson, who shared some little-known stories on the creation of iconic Porsche models during his 36-year career at the company.

During the ceremony, Steve Shore took to the stage to share Shorade’s story with the audience. Steve spoke passionately about our heritage and our specialised role as a Porsche Recommended Repairer before presenting the award for Innovation in the Porsche Industry. The accolade went to Porsche Classic for its PCCM+ infotainment system, which brings modern connectivity to classic Porsches.

After the event, Jon Biggins, Shorade CEO, said, “It was a real privilege to be part of the 2026 9WERKS Awards at Porsche Centre Bournemouth. We’ve partnered with 9WERKS for a long time and it’s always great to be involved with these events. Congratulations to Porsche Classic, a well deserved winner of the innovation category presented by Shorade.”

Our attendance at the 9WERKS Awards is a core part of Shorade’s ongoing commitment to the UK Porsche enthusiast community. We don’t just repair these cars, we help restore them and keep them in the best possible condition for enthusiasts to enjoy. We would like to congratulate all the winners and thank Lee Sibley and the 9WERKS team for an unforgettable night.
