The Remarkable Read
Practical Classics Restoration Show
The teams from Porsche Centre Sutton Coldfield and Shorade Accident Repair Centre were excited to attend the Practical Classics Restoration Show at the weekend. The show’s first debut at the NEC following the success of the Classic Motor show, NEC held in November – and what a success!
An eclectic mix of live restorations, seminars, displays, auto jumble, car clubs, auctions, TV personalities, projects and competitions with visitors travelling from across the globe to attend.
Porsche Centre Sutton Coldfield and Shorade Accident Repair Centre were delighted to display this years Porsche 944 Turbo restoration (pre- restoration) alongside last years overall winning 911 Restoration project.
Porsche Centre Sutton Coldfield have now stripped the engine and running gear from the Porsche 944 enabling us to position it running next to the Porsche 944’s body shell at the Practical Classics Restoration show so that visitors had the rare opportunity to get close to all of the elements of the 944 and reflect on the extent of this years #TurboRestoration. On the stand, visitors were also invited to look around, sit in last years restored Porsche 911 964 and browse through restoration photo galleries from the project.
Following the show Porsche Centre Sutton Coldfield have received the engine and running gear to commence the mechanical aspects of the restoration and Shorade have received the body shell so that the bodywork restoration can begin.
